At Evernow, we expect our members to continue feeling better with each passing week, and over time 80% of all of our customers typically experience complete relief from symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. And while no medical provider can promise that every single symptom will go away completely, we do promise to walk hand-in-hand with you while we work to bring you the relief you’re looking for.

So what does getting started with Evernow look like? Reducing the effects of menopause symptoms is not a one-size-fits-all journey. Some Evernow members see results in the first few weeks, while others don’t notice changes for a little longer. Still others report side effects as their bodies adjust to their treatment—these can include breast soreness, headaches, bloating, spotting, and mood and sleep changes.

This guide will walk you through what to expect during your first two months of membership.

Getting started

Say goodbye to overpriced over-the-counter remedies that don’t work, and hello to a prescription treatment plan that’s customized to your symptoms and medical history, and delivered straight to you. All this starts with a free trial month, so you can see for yourself how it works.

To kick things off, all you need to do is complete an online consultation. We’ll ask about your age, blood pressure, symptoms, and other medical information relevant to your treatment. Because every woman has a unique medical history, and because some of these histories require greater care and scrutiny (such as if you’ve had a hysterectomy or have an underlying medical condition), this virtual consultation will enable us to determine whether you are a good candidate for hormonal treatments, and which plan is best for you.

Our consultation process incorporates guidelines of professional medical societies such as ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) and NAMS (North American Menopause Society). In fact, we go above and beyond to ensure the most customized treatment plan to meet your needs.

Our online consultation is fast, easy, personalized, and driven by our trusted team of specialized providers.

Your first 30 days are on us—just cover the $5.95 shipping & handling. All you need to do is complete an online consultation. We'll give you an immediate recommendation based on your answers. Then, if you choose to continue with your trial, we'll connect you with an Evernow OBGYN or NP who will review your answers in-depth and create a detailed treatment plan for you. She'll be by your side to help find the perfect solution for you—prescription treatment, delivery to your door, and unlimited messaging are all included.

Week 1

This is when your package will arrive, and you’ll start taking your treatment. Depending on your medical history and needs, you’ll be receiving estrogen in the form of an estradiol patch, pill, or cream, along with progesterone if needed. Just follow the instructions from your Evernow provider. They’ll be checking in with you this week to see how things are going, and you can message them at any time with any questions or concerns.

Your hormone medications will be delivered right to your door.

Most Evernow customers begin to experience relief two-to-three weeks into treatment, so don’t be discouraged if you’re not feeling any changes right away! Just sit back and relax and be sure to get some exercise and plenty of rest.

Week 2

Breast tenderness, bloating, or sleep changes? We got you.

In the first few weeks, as your body adjusts to your treatment, it’s normal to experience some side effects like breast soreness, headaches, bloating, spotting, or mood and sleep changes. These are temporary and almost always recede as your body adjusts to the hormones.

Here are a few pro tips for how to support your body at this stage:

  • Stay healthy: Eating a healthy diet and staying hydrated are always a good idea, but especially so when your body is adjusting to your new hormone regimen.
  • Get your beauty sleep: Staying well-rested helps your body adjust to your new treatment.
  • Be patient with your body: Stay in touch with your Evernow provider if there are prolonged symptoms or bothersome side effects; they can help make adjustments early on in your treatment so that the transition is as manageable as possible.

And remember: we’re here to help. Your Evernow provider will check in again this week, and if at any point outside of that you experience something more significant than the standard reactions described above, you can always message them, too.

Hydration, movement, and sleep will help you feel your best as your body adjusts to your medication.

Week 3

The third week of treatment is when most women begin to experience noticeable relief from hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. We expect that as these hormonal symptoms diminish, you’ll begin to experience better sleep and increased energy.

No improvement?

Many women take a bit longer to experience relief. So don’t be discouraged or prematurely conclude that your treatment isn’t working. Just be patient, and remember that your Evernow provider is on-hand and can answer any questions or concerns you have about your treatment, your symptoms, side effects, and your body’s adjustment period. They’ll be checking in with you again this week, and they will be happy to discuss any potential treatment modifications.

Week 4

Around this time you are likely to be joining the majority of Evernow customers who by now are feeling relief from their symptoms. If your body is still adjusting to the hormones, we encourage you to be patient and give it a few more weeks to begin feeling like your old self. If you decide that you do not wish to continue beyond this trial month, you can discontinue your treatment via your account (see the FAQ on our website for more information).

Your medication will come in the form of a patch (pictured), pill, or cream.

Weeks 6-8

By the 6th week, your Evernow provider will have checked in with you multiple times to see how things are going. While the vast majority of Evernow customers will have experienced noticeable relief by now, some may have two or three more weeks to go before the relief is palpable.

If you haven’t noticed improvement in your symptoms by the end of Week 6, your Evernow provider will work with you to modify your treatment plan. And remember that at any time, you can always reach out to see if an adjustment is right for you.

If you’ve made it eight weeks into treatment, odds are that you’ve begun to feel like yourself again. Even after your hot flashes, night sweats, sleep disturbances, or vaginal dryness subside, we’ll check in with you to see if there are any other symptoms or concerns that might merit modifications to your treatment plan. If you have any side effects that are lingering, let us know! Our providers will work with you to adjust your treatment plan to make sure they do not persist.

Looking ahead

By the end of the 3rd month of your treatment plan we expect that, like most Evernow members, you will have fully adjusted to the hormones and experienced continuous relief from your symptoms. Our hormone-based treatment plans are clinically proven to eliminate hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness in 80% of women, along with other symptoms.
